Most vehicles with clutches today use a hydraulic system (similar to brake hydraulic system) to operate the clutch.

Dirty and contaminated clutch fluid is the leading cause of hydraulic clutch failure.   

Maintaining and flushing the system costs much less than replacing the clutch master cylinder or clutch slave cylinder should it fail.  Especially when the clutch slave is located “internally” within the transmission

We recommend a clutch fluid flush every 2 years or 30,000 miles.
